Obviously, men are very different from women. The thought processes experienced by the one sex are trivial to the other and vice versa.
Although the guys gave the girls some good pointers, girls have much to teach guys this week.
Thirteen young ladies had the privilege to spill their guts about vital things guys should know about girls.
Of the 13 ladies surveyed, two were seniors, four were juniors, three were sophomores, and four were freshmen.
Gentlemen of SBU, here are some secrets that the ladies have so willingly shared.
10. Girls want a godly man.
"Ultimately, we want you to seek after the Lord before you seek after us," said senior Joanna Bellis.
Girls want a guy who wants God more than anything else.
"Be a man after God's own heart," said freshman Jake Gregory. "As cliché as that may seem, it's the truth. That is what we enjoy most."
9. Girls would appreciate it if guys would take care of their appearance.
"Wear a belt," said senior Deanna Talley. "We don't want to see your pants on the ground and your butt hanging out."
It never hurts to put a little work into your wardrobe.
"Wear shoes, preferably not flip-flops," said sophomore Sarah Utley. "No skinny jeans, scarves, or v-necks. I don't need a hippie. I need a man."
8. Communication is good.
"Verbal communication can be very important to women," said junior Jena Potts.
Talking may be scary for men, but it works.
"You can never talk too much," said freshman Crissie Owensby. "Conversations build relationships."
7. Girls enjoy boys who smell nice.
"We love men that have good hygiene," said junior Tyrahnique Thomas.
Showers work great for this.
"Girls like it when boys smell good," said freshman Kristen Riggs.
6. Truth works wonders.
"Honesty-I hate when I'm lied to," said freshman Rebekah Belcher.
No one likes a liar.
"If we ask you to hang out or what you're doing, just be honest," said sophomore Lianna Larson. "It will be less painful than a lie."
