Your vote counts!

Almost every little girl grows up imagining her dream wedding. Southwest Baptist University alumna Becca Knight was no exception.
"I always dreamed it would be big and in my church," said Knight. "I also dreamed about the father-daughter dance at the reception."
But this bride-to-be is not just inviting guests to her wedding, she is asking her guests and everybody else to help her dream wedding come true.
Knight and her fiancé, senior Matt Hamm, have the opportunity to win a wedding package worth $60,000. Knight's parents told the couple in mid-April about the contest sponsored by Lou Fusz Car Dealership in St. Louis. A total of 275 couples registered to get their chance at winning.
However, this contest is more than just luck. Friends, family and random strangers can go online to www.loufuszgiveaway.com to vote for Hamm and Knight. Whichever couple receives the most votes by May 31 will win the wedding of a lifetime. Individuals can vote once per day and the couple receives 15 extra points for every new registered voter. The winner will be announced June 8.
With only two and a half weeks of voting left, Hamm and Knight are in fifth place. But the two are not backing off. They have handed out flyers to friends at church and have gone door-to-door at the dorms asking for votes.
"I like competitive things," said Knight "It has taught me persistence and we could have given up when we found out we were behind."
The couple's romantic story began in the fall of 2007 while Knight was a resident assistant for Woody Hall. Hamm's roommate worked in Woody-Gott's office with Knight. Hamm would often come to "visit" his roommate during these office hours and he conveniently was able to talk to Knight. After the two began to talk on a more regular basis, it became very apparent that there was definite interest.
The two officially began dating in the spring semester. Just like it did not take long for the couple to begin dating, they knew they were right for each other just a few months into the relationship.
"He was everything I had ever looked for," said Knight.
Hamm took Knight on a scavenger hunt that incorporated places that had sentimental value for the couple. At the last stop, Hamm proposed and the two were engaged on November 6, 2008.
It is only fitting that this whirlwind romance has the opportunity to have a dream wedding to begin their lives together. The couple will be married July 25 in St. Louis. If they win the contest, the soon-to-be newlyweds will receive, among a long list of prizes, a new car, credit to buy a wedding dress, a reception package, flowers, tux rentals, jewelry, photography and videography and one night at Four Seasons Hotel.
Even if they do not win, Knight assures "we're getting married no matter what." But with your help Knight can have a wedding beyond her wildest dreams and the dance with her father.
