On Monday, March 3 in Goodson Student Union, Landen Hall hosted an educational event called "Impact" for students, faculty and staff interested in learning more about health, fitness and body building.
Freshman Aaron Carr, who is a certified personal trainer, nutrition specialist, body-builder and Advocare endorser, hosted a question and answer session to allow students the opportunity to ask questions concerning proper dieting, weight loss and muscle building.
"I designed this program to teach students and others about general nutrition and exercising," said Carr. "People ask me a lot of different questions such as what kind of supplements do you take? What kind of workouts do you do? I get that question about every day."
Some of the topics students asked about were exercising when sick, how often one should exercise, foods necessary for body building and snacking between meals.
Students also had the chance to sample Spark and Slam Supplemental Energy Drinks provided by Advocare.
"I really enjoyed the discussion. I had a lot of questions answered, and overall, was very enlightened," said freshman Ruby Karamitros. "I hope we have more meetings throughout the semester."
