Welcome Week hinges upon student participation

After hosting Bearcats this weekend, current students' eyes were opened to newcomers on campus. Now is the time to plan for hundreds of new students flooding the campus for Welcome Week. The success of Welcome Weeks rides on the willingness of current students.

Aging campus pianos hit sour note

Pianos, the beloved and widely played instrument, may seem outdated in our technological generation. However they are perceived, pianos on campus will only be seen as a thing of the past if they continue to remain barely functional for students. Dr. Jeff Waters, Acting Dean for the College of Music, Arts and Letters, estimates approximately 45 pianos are on campus and used by 80-100 students per semester.

On the path to redemption

"This time I slay everyone and trust no one… it's my chance for redemption," said Benjamin "Coach" Wade to begin episode one of "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains." After last week's Omnibus article "Coach gets a second chance," many readers wondered how Wade could possibly improve his reputation since he was already labeled a villain.
