Christmas is advertised earlier this year due to the big claim that it is going to be cheaper for shoppers because of the economy's poor situation. Christmas decorations are already out for consumers to snatch. Christmas cards and candy are also on the shelves in most big name stores, and commercials all over television and the internet revolve around Christmas.
Motivation throughout the semester only lasts for so long. Homework, projects, papers and tests start to pile up, leaving students with little or no time to do anything else. After a while all that build-up of studying and test-taking can lead to the dreaded but very common case of "un-motivation" that usually starts to appear during this time of the semester.
