Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday celebrated on the last Monday in May. It was once called Decoration Day, honoring U.S. men and women who died while in the military. Memorial Day first honored only the Union soldiers of the American Civil War at first and was celebrated near the day of reunification after the civil war.
Are we as SBU students really so immature that we have to put bubbles in our fountain as soon as there's water in it? If you truly want a better campus, stop destroying the one we already have. Bubbles in the fountain are not funny. Dying the fountain is not funny.
Dear Editor, When I was a freshman, I sat in the forum staring at the sky saying to myself, "I love everything about this place. I love the smell, the feel, the lights, the people, the idea. I love it." I'm not saying that is everyone, I'm not saying that you have to love it, or even like it, but I am saying that YOU choose to come here.
