Assasins take over campus

Early this week, the game Assassins began at Southwest Baptist University. The assassinations began 8a.m. Monday with water squirting everywhere. SBU's Student Government Association, who sponsored the activity, says there has been no real killing, only water homicide.

SBU to become a wireless campus

Southwest Baptist University plans to become a wireless campus by the end of the 2005-2006 school year. SBU is currently soliciting bids to make its Bolivar campus completely wireless. According to Bob McGlasson, vice president for information and technology services, the procedure to make this happen should be two-phased.

Student satisfaction cited in self survey

Southwest Baptist University responses to a student satisfaction inventory are being compared to 378 other institutions. The survey results are playing a key role as SBU continues to undergo preparation for re-accreditation by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Southwest Baptist University will celebrate Founders Day with a formal chapel program at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 16 in Pike Auditorium. John Duncan, former SBU Board of Trustees chairman and pastor of Cassville's First Baptist Church, will deliver the address.

SBU to offer entry-level doctorate in physical therapy

Southwest Baptist University has been given authorization to offer its first doctorate degree starting in the fall 2005 semester. The university's request to offer the entry-level doctor of physical therapy degree was accepted by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Feb 25.
